5454 Aluminum Properties
5454 aluminum sheet can adapt to harsh corrosive environment. It is a typical anti-rust aluminum with high strength, about 20% higher than 5052 aluminum plate. The common tempers are O, H12 and H14.

Annealing
It can be annealed at 343 degree Celsius to reduce the cold working stress. After being fully heated, it is suitable for cooling in air.
Cold working
No matter any state 5454 aluminum is in, it is able to be cold worked by adopting common methods.
Welding &Forming
5454 aluminum plate is capable of being welded by all the commercial welding methods. It also has good hot working and cold working ability.
Hardening
It can be strengthened by the heat treatment, but being cold worked.
Machinability
Its machinability is not really good. It is better to use some oil lubricants when you do some machining operation and choose H34 temper.
