Aluminum Alloy 5454 5182 5083 for Tank Truck
Since the aluminum alloy load tanker is is lighter than the carbon steel tank truck, the fuel consumption during transportation is reduced. When the no-load driving speed is 40 km/h, 60 km/h and 80 km/h, the fuel consumption of the aluminum alloy tank is 12.1%, 10% and 7.9% lower than that of the carbon steel tank, thereby reducing daily operating costs.
The aluminum plates suitable for tank car bodies are mainly 5 series and 6 series. The 5 series is an aluminum alloy with magnesium as the main alloying element, the 6 series is an aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as the main alloying element and the Mg 2 Si phase as the strengthening phase. The main alloy grades are 5083, 5754, 5454, 5182, 6061 and 6082.
Aluminum alloy 5454 started to be used in tank cars in the early 1950s. It has good anti-corrosion properties, which can adapt to harsh corrosive environments. It is a typical anti-rust aluminum with high strength, about 20% higher than 5052 aluminum plate. The common tempers of 5454 aluminum sheet are O, H12 and H14. In terms of performance, it not only has high strength and high corrosion resistance, but also has good plasticity and good formability.
Oil tanks for transporting aviation gasoline and jet kerosene must be welded with aluminum alloy, because even if stainless steel tanks are used, a very small amount of iron will enter the oil, which is not allowed. The cross-section of the cylinder is a circular arc rectangle, which is based on the consideration of lowering the center of gravity of the vehicle and increasing the cross-sectional area within the range of vehicle dimensions. According to GB 18564, it is welded with 5083 alloy, and the thickness of the plate is 5mm-6mm.
Aluminum alloy 5182 is the latest high-magnesium alloy for tank trucks specially produced for the European Road Transport of Dangerous Goods Agreement in recent years. Its tensile strength and elongation are relatively high. Using 5182 aluminum alloy welding, the mechanical properties in the weld can reach the minimum value specified for the parent metal. Among them, the 5182 aluminum tanker plate has a tensile strength of more than 280MPa, a yield strength of more than 125, and an elongation of more than 26%.
When calculating the minimum thickness value of the shell, ADR uses "tensile strength × elongation" to describe the mechanical properties of the cylinder material, and the corresponding elongation ratio of 5182 (O/H111) is higher than that of 5083 and 5454(O/H111). Haomei Aluminum has all these aluminum alloys for making tank truck and special truck. Welcome to leave message below to inquire what you need.
