The Properties of 5052/5182/5454 Aluminum

5454 VS 5052
The magnesium content of 5454 aluminum plate is 2.4-3.0%, and it also contains a small amount of silicon, copper, zinc, manganese and other elements. The tensile strength is greater than 215MPa, which is about 20% higher than the strength of 5052 aluminum plate. Its corrosion resistance in harsh environments is better than that of 5154 aluminum plate.
The magnesium content of 5052 aluminum plate is between 2.2-2.8%, and the tensile strength is 170-305MPa. Compared with 5454 aluminum sheet, it has a wider range of uses, especially in the construction industry. In addition, there are also certain differences in prices between the two.
5454 VS 5182
The essential difference between 5454 and 5182 aluminum alloy lies in the composition and content of the alloy elements. 5182 contains more magnesium and manganese elements than 5454, and there are also certain differences in performance and use. In addition to the use in tank truck, 5182 aluminum sheet is also used for can lids, automobile body panels, control panels, reinforcements, brackets and other parts.
